The Anaheim Zen Sangha meets at the
Unitarian Universalist Church in Anaheim
511 S Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92805
Our schedule includes regular zazen, chanting, and Dokusan on both Saturday mornings and Tuesday evenings. We also offer regular classes, as well as opportunities for extended Zen meditation practice.
There is no charge for any of these offerings, although a Dana (donation) bowl will be left out if you would like to support the Sangha (our Buddhist community).
Every Saturday we begin at 9am with two twenty-five minute periods of zazen, Zen meditation, followed by a chanting service in the Soto Zen tradition. Dokusan, brief interviews with a teacher are offered during zazen. Following zazen there is a program event, dharma talk, book club, or sitting with tea and conversation. Check our Facebook page for the current offering.
Every Tuesday we begin at 7pm reciting a brief traditional Zen text and a dedication, followed by two twenty-five minute sitting periods. Dokusan is offered most Tuesday evenings during zazen.
Donations are gratefully accepted to help offset our rental costs.
